Belleville Police have arrested two people, after an attempted theft in the north of the city Wednesday night.
Around 7:30 p.m., officers were called to a Millennium Parkway business, where security had two suspects detained.
It is alleged the man and woman tried to leave the store with a cart containing $1,300 in merchandise.
Forty-four-year-old Melissa Maracle and 28-year-old Michael Juby, both of Belleville have been charged, and have a March court date.
