The Ontario Ministry of Labour says a Belleville factory has complied with a requirement it issued, after a 21 year-old man was hurt in a workplace accident last month.
Hastings-Quinte Paramedics were called to Redpath Sugar on University Avenue, January 3o, after the man was pinned by a heavy container in the factory’s blending area and suffered upper leg and pelvis injuries.
He was taken to Kingston General Hospital.
An MOL spokesperson told Quinte News Wednesday that a requirement to have the equipment examined, issued on January 31, was completed last week and that no other orders or requirements were issued.
That spokesperson also says the investigation is still ongoing.
