The Ministry of Labour is investigating following a workplace injury Wednesday in Belleville.
A worker was injured in the blending area of Redpath Sugar according to the MOL.
Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services Chief Doug Socha says an Advanced Care paramedic crew transported a 21-year-old male under their trauma bypass protocol with upper leg and pelvis injuries to Kingston General Hospital.
He was moving a large heavy container at the time of the accident.
He was able to free himself before paramedics arrived on scene.
An inspector will be attending the business on University Avenue to investigate further.
