Two people were injured in a crash south of Rice Lake on Saturday evening.
Northumberland OPP responded to the two vehicle crash on County Road 45 north of Roseneath Landing, around 5:45 p.m. and found two vehicles involved.
A blue Chevrolet and a white Pontiac had collided head-on near the centre line, with both drivers taken to hospital with varying injuries.
The woman driving the Pontiac had to be air lifted further to a Toronto area trauma centre with serious injuries, but there’s been no update on either person’s condition.
County Road 45 was closed for several hours for the initial investigation, which is continuing, but OPP believe that weather and road conditions may have been a contributing factor.
