OPP in Northumberland dealt with 34 weather-related crashes yesterday.
A round up from the detachment says, thankfully, none of those crashes resulted in serious injuries and that most of them were caused by drivers not slowing down and not paying attention to the conditions.
Drivers are being reminded that weather can change suddenly and dramatically, without warning, which can have a significant change on road conditions.
You’re also reminded to make sure your vehicle is prepared for winter driving, check road reports before going out and always give yourself extra time to get to where you’re going, when the weather is bad.
