Veridian Connections customers will see a new name and logo on their bills later this year, following its merger with Whitby Hydro.
The merger between the two companies was approved by the Ontario Energy Board in December and a new name and logo for the combined company was unveiled this week.
The company will be known as Elexicon Energy and will serve more than 162,000 residential and business customers in Belleville, Clarington, Ajax, Pickering, and now Whitby, which all have an ownership stake in the company.
Both Veridian Connections and Whitby Hydro will be starting a brand awareness campaign to let customers know what to expect moving forward.
The merger will be completed in the second quarter of this year.
