The deadline is drawing near for communities throughout Ontario to make a decision on whether to allow retail marijuana product strores or not.
And tomorrow night (Tuesday), the residents of Stirling-Rawdon will have a chance to have their say
A public meeting on the issue is scheduled for Stirling-Rawdon council chambers on the Stirling-Marmora Road at 7 o’clock.
Meanwhile, Prince Edward County council is holding a special Committee of the Whole meeting Wednesday night on the same issue.
Committee will vote on a recommendation that retail cannabis stores be allowed in the municipality.
An online survey and phone interviews indicated almost two thirds of those responding were in favour of retail marijuana outlets in the county.
Municipalities have until January 22 to make a decision.
The meeting will be held at 7 o’clock in the Rotary Room of the Prince Edward Community Centre in Picton.
