The East Region Community Street Crime Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police has executed a search warrant at a residence in Greater Napanee and charged a woman for drug trafficking.
On May 9, 2024 at approximately 4:30 p.m., the search warrant was executed by members of the CSCU at a residence on Centre Street North in Greater Napanee. One female was located and arrested within the residence then transported to the L&A County detachment. During a search of the residence, methamphetamine, a digital scale and a cell phone were seized.
As a result of the investigation, Shelley Veley, 55 years old of Greater Napanee, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
She was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on June 25, 2024 at 9 a.m.
