On January 4, 2019 around 2:30 p.m., Prince Edward OPP responded to a report of a vehicle that had struck a residence on Burns Avenue in Picton.
After speaking with the driver of the vehicle, officers could detect an odor of alcohol and administered the roadside screening device. After a suitable sample was not able to be obtained, the driver was arrested and brought to the OPP detachment in Picton for follow up with a breath technician.
As a result, the 73-year-old female from Picton was charged with having more than 80mgs. of alcohol in blood while driving a motor vehicle.
Crossley was released with a promise to appear on January 30, 2019 in the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton.
Crossley’s licence was suspended and her vehicle impounded.
