Stirling-Rawdon council wants more information before deciding on a zoning change that would allow a marijuana production facility to be built off of the Hoover road in the rural part of the municipality.
A long-time farming family has applied for a zoning change that would allow a 7,000 square foot greenhouse and a 4,800 square foot utility building.
Last night (Monday), at a meeting of Stirling-Rawdon council residents and council members had concerns about odour, crime and whether a dangerous precedent might be set by allowing the operation.
The application will be dealt with at a later date.
