A Belleville man already in custody after being charged for being involved in a robbery last week faces another serious charge regarding a violent incident last month.
Belleville police say a man was assaulted during a disturbance on Grier Street early on the morning of September 23.
The victim suffered serious head injuries and has lost sight in his left eye. A warrant was issued at that time for the arrest of a suspect.
Daniel James Woodstock, 23, has now been charged with aggravated assault and breach of probation.
Meanwhile, Woodstock remains in custody after being charged with robbery with a weapon and other charges following the robbery at knifepoint of a clerk at a local motel October 5.
Two male youths were also charged after the robbery.
