A Trenton man plans to purchase a house, as well as travel, after winning more than $1 million.
Timothy Annett, who works as a material handler, won “Ontario’s jackpot” – $1,032,525.40 – in the April 13 LOTTARIO draw.
Annett says he typically picks up a LOTTARIO ticket when the jackpot is high. “I considered picking up a LOTTARIO ticket while at the store but decided against it because I noticed the jackpot had recently been won,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings.
“I went back out to my car and noticed I already had a LOTTARIO ticket in my centre console. I scanned the ticket on the OLG app, and I was shocked! I couldn’t believe that it was my ticket that had won the jackpot! I walked back into the store in a daze. It was a wonderfully chaotic experience!”
He concluded by sharing how it felt to experience his first big win. “I was shaking, and my mind was racing. I was immediately struck by what this win means for me. I feel so much gratitude and I am so thankful for this blessing!”
The winning ticket was purchased at The Round Hill Gas Station on Highway 33 in Trenton.
