The Eastern Ontario Development Program is infusing around $90,000 into a local company.
A local rope manufacturer Canada Cordage of Deseronto received $88,656 from MP Mike Bossio and Trenval Business Development.
The money will go into the development and expansion of a rope and twine production line.
Canada Cordage purchased equipment for the lines from a sister plant in the United States, to increase production for industrial roping.
They manufacture ropes such as cotton, jute, nylon, twine and polypropylene products.
