Belleville Mayor Taso Christopher officially opened his campaign office on Thursday evening.
The office on North Front Street across from McDonald’s saw a good turnout, including MP Neil Ellis and a number of councillor candidates.
Christopher told those in attendance this election is not about him.

Christopher told those in attendance he has three major priorities going forward.
Christopher is running against Councillor Egerton Boyce, Jodie Jenkins and Councillor Mitch Panciuk.
The municipal election will take place October 22.
