Belleville’s Glanmore House has a lot of family fun lined up for this summer.
Summer Fun at the Museum is back, offering two Wednesdays, Wednesday this week and Wednesday July 25, featuring old-fashioned games such as stilt walking and hoops.
Children can make ice cream in an old fashioned churn.
Spokesperson Melissa Wakeling says families can borrow the museum’s Activity Pack and explore Glanmore. The Activity Packs are suitable for children ages 5-12 and are meant to help parents and caregivers slow down and have a meaningful experience with their children while exploring Glanmore together. Activity packs are free to use with museum admission and are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
The Artifact Hunt is similar to a Scavenger Hunt. A worksheet will challenge children and adults alike to a scavenger hunt to search through room displays for specific artifacts. Once the worksheet is completed and all objects are found, there will be a small reward!
