The City of Quinte West has its first nomination filing for mayor in the upcoming municipal eletion.
Current councillor Duncan Armstrong filed his papers today to run for the top spot on council.
The former Trenton High School teacher and track and field coach first ran for council in 2014.
In Prince Edward County, Ray Hobson, Jim Dunlop and Bill Roberts all filed this week to run as councillors in Picton, Wellington and Sophiasburgh respectively.
Meanwhile in Tyendinaga Township, current councillor Heather Lang has filed her nomination papers, to retain her current seat.
