The Belleville Senators will have a new bench boss to start their second season in the American Hockey League.
Ottawa Senators General Manager Pierre Dorion told TSN 1200 radio this afternoon that Kurt Kleinendorst’s contract will not be renewed.
The 57-year-old Minnesota native had been behind the bench for Ottawa’s top affiliate for the past two seasons, leading the B-Sens to a record of 57-86-4-5.
He also previously coached the team in Binghamton from 2010 to 2012, winning a Calder Cup championship during that time.
There’s been no word yet on a replacement.
