Prince Edward County Mayor Robert Quaiff is taking a leave of absence to run for the liberals in the upcoming provincial election.
While this is not new news, one resident doesn’t agree with it.
Dave Gray addressed council on Tuesday night and said he doesn’t think it’s right he can take a leave of absence to advance his career.
Gray says he’s never heard of someone getting a leave of absence to get a better job.
He said it just doesn’t happen in the real world.
