The Chief of Staff of Quinte Health Care, Dr. Dick Zoutman, gave his last report to the Board of Directors Tuesday afternoon.
Dr. Zoutman will soon leave to pursue other opportunities after serving six and half years with QHC.
Chair of the Board Stuart Wright said the outgoing Chief of Staff had been a real “champion” for the organization, helping it through some tough financial times.
Zoutman was praised for building a positive and better informed relationship between physicians and administration and streamlining work processes.
QHC’s medical staff will now be led by Interim Chief of Staff, Dr. Colin MacPherson, who said he had been lucky to have been able to work with Dr. Zoutman and intended to continue the positive trends in the organization put in place by him.
