Local radio broadcaster Tim Durkin, 32, is seeking the Conservative Party of Canada nomination to represent the Bay of Quinte riding, in the next federal election.
The Loyalist College grad and his wife Jennifer are expecting their first child this summer.
“Moving into politics has been something Jennifer and I discussed years ago, when we first met.” Durkin stated. “One day we wanted to play a role in the kind of country we would leave to our kids. Canada faces a lot of challenges like free speech, major deficits, and major economic concerns that are making it harder for everyday Canadians.”
“I believe there is no substitute for hard work and the willingness to make the right choices on difficult issues.
Durkin is an on-air personality and journalist with Quinte Broadcasting (CJBQ, Rock 107, Mix 97, Quinte News), and Game Night Host for the Belleville Senators of the AHL.
