There is a bit of a police presence in downtown Belleville but BPS officials say there is no reason to be alarmed.
Staff Sergeant Rene Aubertin tells Quinte News officers are downtown dealing with an individual, but wouldn’t go into details about what’s going on.
He did say that there is no public safety risk and he wasn’t sure how much longer officers would be on scene.
