The newest goaltender in the Senators organization could be in Belleville by Friday.
Paperwork for Swedish ‘tender Filip Gustavsson has gone through and the Ottawa communications department says he could be in Belleville by Friday, as the B-Sens play three games in three nights.
Gustavsson was acquired by the Senators from Pittsburgh, in the trade that sent Derrick Brassard to the Pens.
Meanwhile forward Jim O’Brien has been sent back from Ottawa, as has defender Pat Sieloff.
The Senators also signed defenceman Christian Wolanin from the University of North Dakota, but at this point, he’ll report to Ottawa.
Belleville hosts the Toronto Marlies on Friday night at 7:30, visits Toronto on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 and then hosts the Laval Rocket on Sunday afternoon at 3:00.
800 CJBQ has coverage of all three games, with the pregame show starting 10 minutes before puck drop.
