The Ministry of Labour has issued a stop work order until guarding is installed on a machine used at an industry in Cobourg.
A woman’s hand was seriously injured in an accident at networking and cable products manufacturer Belden CDT Canada Inc. last Thursday.
According to a report in TodaysNorthumberland.ca, the woman was transferred by helicopter from Northumberland Hills Hospital to one in Toronto.
The report indicates her hand had to be amputated.
