A 36-year-old man from Quebec faces several charges after speeding away from police on Highway 401 east of Belleville yesterday afternoon.
OPP report a silver sedan approached a cruiser from behind and then passed it with speeds over 200 kmh.
Police say the driver was weaving in and out of traffic to avoid them.
The driver was seen throwing items out of the vehicle.
OPP managed to stop the vehicle east of Napanee shortly after 3 o’clock.
Female passengers were arrested and then released.
The man was charged with dangerous driving, flight from police, fail to stop for police, stunt driving, following too close, and not safely changing lanes.
