The Belleville Police Service’s Street Crime Team arrested a man wanted on Canada Wide warrants for sexual assault just before noon yesterday.
Sixty-two-year-old Wilfred James Bartley, formerly of Winnipeg, was picked up on Front Street.
An escort team from the Winnipeg Police Service will be arriving to bring him back to face the charges.
Meanwhile, Belleville police officers arrested a wanted 18-year-old man in the Bayview Mall at around 10:30 yesterday morning. The Cobourg man was picked up and returned to Cobourg by the Cobourg Police.
