A Quinte West man suspected of hitting a police officer with a car during a chase in early January has been arrested.
Officers were chasing a reported dangerous driver on the evening of January 3rd and stopped the vehicle after a short pursuit.
As police exited their vehicles to approach the suspect, he sped off hitting one of them, who suffered minor leg injuries.
The vehicle was found abandoned a short time later on the eastbound 401, west of Napanee.
Investigators identified 38-year-old Ryan Millar as the driver and issued an arrest warrant for him on charges of dangerous driving, fleeing from police, assaulting a police officer with a weapon and two counts of breaching an undertaking.
Millar was arrested late last week and has a video court appearance in Belleville this Thursday.
