Three regional YMCA branches could potentially become one through unification.
The YMCAs of Central East Ontario, which incorporates Belleville and Quinte West, along with Kingston, and Brockville and area, announced Thursday that they are exploring the benefits of coming together as one organization to help strengthen their respective communities.
President and CEO of YMCA Central East David Allen says in a press release that all three associations are committed to serving members and communities in the best way possible.
This includes looking towards the future and identifying new ways to increase the impact on individual and community health.
However, Allen adds while they are excited about this potential opportunity, they are still in the initial phases and nothing has been decided yet.
