The Quinte West Fire Department didn’t enjoy a peaceful Sunday yesterday.
Around 10 yesterday morning, a small car driven by a young woman slid off Wooler Road, coming
to rest in a nearby wooded area.
Firefighters had to extricate her from the car, and she was taken to Trenton Memorial Hospital for treatment.
About an hour later, a pickup truck flipped onto its roof on Glen Miller Road, near Harrington Road.
An elderly couple had to be extricated from the truck. There were no serious injuries.
And around 9:30 last night, two Quinte West volunteer firefighters on their way to a fire call on Hamilton Road hit a big buck which jumped in front of their car. They weren’t injured, but the car was a write-off.
There was a minor fire at C & R Auto Body and Collision which was dealt with quickly.
