Trenton High School could be welcoming hundreds more students in the new school year.
At Monday’s Hastings Prince Edward School Board meetings, trustees looked at bringing in grade seven and eight students from three local elementary schools.
Director of Education Mandy Savery-Whiteway say it is still in the initial stages.
Savery-Whiteway adds there are 460 excess student spaces available and 209 students are proposed to move into THS in the fall.
No specifics were given, however capacity is believed to be the issues at the three elementary schools.
It would go to trustees for approval in February.
