A woman nabbed for shoplifting at a store in the north end of Belleville yesterday afternoon tried to fool police officers, but to no avail.
Store security had arrested the woman for stealing about $600 worth of electronics.
When police arrived she gave officers a false name.
After investigation Belleville police identified her as a 37-year-old from Oshawa. She was also wanted by Durham Region police and Whitby OPP.
Belleville police charged her with theft.
