Belleville’s water and sewer rates could be going up in the new year.
At its meeting Monday, city council will see a staff report proposing new rates to take effect
January first.
If council approves, water rates would go up an average 4.5%, with the sewer surcharge remaining as is.
That percentage increase would mean other $4.26 a month for the average homeowner.
