Belleville Police dealt with a mischief call overnight.
Just after midnight, officers went to a home on West Street, where the owner reported that someone had hit the house with a rock.
Police investigated and eventually stopped a vehicle in the city’s west end, arresting a 53-year-old Quinte West man.
A slingshot, a bag of rocks, a machete, and a balaclava were seized from the vehicle.
The man was held for a bail hearing.
Since July 1st, a home on West Street and a home on Burnham Street had experienced similar acts of mischief.
Rocks and ball bearings had struck doors and windows of both residences. Multiple charges were laid from those incidents, including an arson charge stemming from a burnt chicken coop at the rear of the West Street residence on the 8th of September.
There were no chickens in the coop at the time.
