Prince Edward County is partnering with Base31 to offer a new transit option during the summer months.
The Picton Summer Loop will follow most of the County Transit’s current fixed route in Picton, which begins and ends at the Metro parking lot. The Picton Summer Loop will add stops at Base31 and The Waring House.
The Picton Summer Loop will start Friday, May 24 and run through to Sunday, September 8. The loop will operate Fridays from 5 p.m. to 12 midnight, Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 12 midnight, and Sundays from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The service will be operated by Quinte Transit, the municipality’s transit service provider, and will become part of the County Transit system. Passengers can expect the Picton Summer Loop to complete its circle around Picton every half hour.
In addition to the Picton Summer Loop, a permanent stop at Base31 will be added to the regular weekday route in early June.
