A Saturday afternoon accident involving a group of motorcycles and a pickup truck on Highway 7 near Havelock sent five people to hospital.
Members of Peterborough County OPP, along with Ornge Air ambulance and paramedics responded to the collision that occurred shortly before 1 p.m. yesterday (Saturday).
OPP say the accident happened when a westbound pickup truck crossed the centre line of Highway 7 and collided with three of seven motorcycles travelling eastbound near Weller Road.
OPP say the five people were taken to hospital with injuries ranging from serious to life-threatening.
The highway was closed for several hours but was opened to traffic at around 9 last night (Saturday).
