A pair of former Belleville Bulls’ coaches are reuniting in Guelph.
The Peterborough Petes announced today that Jake Grimes is leaving the team and has accepted an associate coach job with the OHL Guelph Storm, to take an expanded role behind the bench.
Grimes will re-join former Bulls’ coach and GM George Burnett, who has held that dual role with the Storm, since April of last year.
The pair spent 11 seasons behind the bench in Belleville before the team moved to Hamilton.
Grimes joined the Petes in 2015 and lead the defensive core, guiding the team to its best season in more than a decade last year, with a trip to the OHL Eastern Conference Finals.
