Two local beaches have been declared unsafe for swimming this weekend by Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health.
Centennial Park Beach in Deseronto and Frankford Park Beach on the Trent River are both unsafe, due to high levels of bacteria.
Centennial Park Beach in Northport wasn’t able to be sampled due to high water levels.
All other beaches in the area are open for swimming.
Meanwhile officials at Sandbanks Provincial Park say the park is already close to capacity today, with the Healthy Parks Healthy People event ongoing and are asking visitors to consider coming later this afternoon.
