Belleville’s Children’s Safety Village has received more than just cash from a local roofing company.
Dafoe Roofing had been awarded a contract to do work on the classroom and garage buildings recently and after making their visit to do the work, the company decided to make a $2,500 donation to the safety village to put towards general operating costs.
Along with that, owners Matt and Dayle have committed to coming back to the village every spring to check over all of its buildings and make sure they are up to standard and in good condition.
The safety village has a total of 17 buildings on its property and provides road safety and other educational programs for kids across the Quinte Region.
