An alert driver may have saved a man’s life in Quinte West Thursday night.
The woman was on Johnstown Road, adjacent to the 401, when she passed a man in his late 50s, slumped over his bicycle.
When she turned back around he had collapsed.
She began CPR and a driver in a Hydro One truck pulled over to help.
A defibrillator was pulled out of the truck and they were able to revive him.
EMS, OPP and fire officials responded and rushed him to Kingston hospital for treatment.
His condition is unknown.
Fire Chief John Whalen says the actions of the two drivers are very heroic.
