Plans for a new and redeveloped Picton Memorial Hospital took another of the many steps needed to become a reality today.
The organization that oversees and funds healthcare in this part of Ontario, the Southeast Local Health Integration Network, has approved Quinte Health Care’s preliminary plans for service delivery and preliminary designs for a new and renovated hospital in Picton.
That approval means the project can go on to the provincial government for inspection and approval.
A new hospital, if finally approved, would provide all services currently offered at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital plus other services through a “healthcare campus”.
