There are some road restrictions in place in the south part of Belleville, on the shore of the Bay of Quinte, due to flooding.
The City of Belleville has closed South George and South John Streets to traffic and is asking people to avoid South Paul Street, Victoria Harbour and all waterfront trails.
South Church Street is still open for local traffic to get to and from homes in the area, but any extra traffic is causing water damage to lawns and properties in the area.
City staff also remind drivers that travelling on closed roads is illegal and you can be ticketed.
With more rain forecast through the day Friday and Saturday, city staff will continue to monitor the conditions and sandbags and supplies are being made available.
Contact City Hall for more information.
