Sales of higher priced homes continue to be strong in the Quinte region, thereby pushing the average selling price of a house higher last month.
According to the Quinte and District Association of Realtors, the average sale price of a house in April was close to $327,000.
That’s way up over the average selling price of a year ago, which was $256,000.
Meanwhile, the number of home sales was up in April when compared to the same month a year ago.
Last month, 483 units sold, while in 2016, just 397 changed hands.
However, the number of homes up for sale last month was far fewer than were listed a year ago.
