A big new agricultural industry boosted the value of proposed construction projects in the City of
Quinte West last month.
The city issued a permit on a project worth $3.5 million to Archer’s Poultry Farm for a new operation on
Wooler Road.
For the month of April, 86 building permits were issued for a total value of over $11 million.
Permits were issued for 20 single family houses, valued at almost $6 million.
In April of last year, building permits were issued for projects worth just over $8 million.
So far this year, over $33 million in construction projects have been approved in Quinte West.
Permit value for the same period in 2016 totalled just over $47 million.
