Prince Edward County is hopeful the boil water advisory, in place for Picton and Bloomfield water users, could be lifted by Thursday.
Wednesday, the municipality updated residents on the status of the water emergency in The County.
Councillor Barry Turpin says the water plant has been restarted, however there is still more work to be done.
He says although the plant is restarted, it has not been reconnected to the Picton Bloomfield water system.
Again, the boil water advisory is in place until further notice, however they expect by Thursday, everything will be back to normal.
