The Trenton Golden Hawks came out on top with a 4-3 win over the Cobourg Cougars in game one of their Northeast final series.
It was a penalty filled first period with plenty of roughing but calmed down in the second and third.
Lucas Brown score twice for the G-Hawks with Brandon Marinelli and Max Ewart adding one each.
Although the win was good news, Trenton will be without primary goaltender Chris Janzen for game two on Monday after the puck went off his stick and over the glass in the final play of the game.
Game two goes Monday night at 7:00 p.m. in Cobourg. Broadcast time on CJBQ and CJBQ.com is 6:50.
