The Ministry of Transportation has decided on its favoured approach to rebuilding the Bay of Quinte Skyway Bridge which links the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory and Deseronto with Prince Edward County.
At upcoming public meetings on either side of the bridge, the Ministry will propose short construction zones with one lane open and traffic lights.
The Ministry of Transportation’s Glenn Higgins spoke to Prince Edward County council Thursday.
The favoured option would cost $76 million dollars and take about 5 years to finish.
The final public meeting on the Skyway bridge project in the county will be held April 11, from 5 to 8 at the Prince Edward Community Centre in Picton.
