The health unit that serves Northumberland County is changing the way it offers flu shots to the public.
Officials say that, because of the many health care providers and pharmacists offering flu vaccine in the area this fall, the health unit will not be providing community flu shot clinics in 2016, as it has in previous years.
Instead, the health unit is providing the ‘family-friendly’ flu vaccine clinics geared to families with children under five, to ensure they also have easy access to flu vaccine.
One of those clinics will be held in Brighton on November 22, at the Brighton Community Resource Centre on Young Street.
