The Ontario Junior Hockey League has announced their Bardown North-East Conference Player of the Month Awards and fittingly they go to players on the two best teams.
Wellington Dukes forward Brayden Stortz kicked off his OJHL career with 10 goals and 26 points in just 9 games. Stortz leads the league. Trenton forward Lucas Brown was runner-up as he led the league with goals and finished second to Stortz with 21 points.
Golden Hawks netminder Chris Janzen is the Goaltender of the Month. The 19 year old Janzen was 8-0 with a 1.30 goals against with a .938 save percentage and one shutout.
Both teams are 9-1. Wellington is in Stouffville tonight.
