Northumberland OPP arrested a wanted person and have laid charges related to drugs.
An officer was on patrol on County Road 25 around 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday when an Automated Licence Plate Recognition was sent regarding the wanted person.
A traffic stop was conducted leading to an arrest of the driver who had a warrant out for a local police investigation.
OPP were then led to a drug trafficking investigation where they were able to seize 44.7 grams of suspected fentanyl, 14.2 grams of suspected cocaine, $795 in Canadian currency and scales.
Forty-year-old Jeremy Hall of Grafton was charged with the following:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than heroin).
The street value of the suspected fentanyl is estimated at $8,050 and the estimated value of the suspected cocaine is at $1,280.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
His custody was transferred to a local police service.
