Kids who get treatment at Belleville General Hospital’s Children’s Treatment Centre will be able to have a little more fun in a few weeks.
That’s because a new, full accessible playground, is nearing completion and should be finished and ready to use by the end of October.
Occupational Therapist Chantale Laraby says the playground will give kids a natural environment to learn in and help the socialize as well.
And she says it will benefit kids with all types of conditions, not just mobility problems.
The total cost of the project is about $300,000 and organizers are still trying to raise one third of that.
