A man accused of trying to run down a construction worker with his vehicle in downtown Belleville has been sentenced to one day in jail plus 18 months probation.
Fifty-four-year-old Ronald Jackson of Belleville pleaded guilty to two counts of assault and one count of breach of probation.
Jackson was arrested following the July 15th incident in a parking lot.
Court heard a 38-year-old man had to jump out of the way of an oncoming pickup truck, and sustained minor injuries in an altercation with the driver.
